"The Last Ship" is a musical set in the seafaring town of Wallsend about a close community where life has always revolved around the local shipyard and the hardworking men construct magnificent vessels with tremendous pride. But Gideon Fletcher dreams of a different future. He sets out to travel the world, leaving his life and his love behind. When Gideon returns home 14 years later, he finds the shipyard's future in grave danger and his childhood sweetheart engaged to someone else. As the men of Wallsend take their future into their own hands and build a towering representation of the shared dream that defines their existence, Gideon realizes that he left behind more than he could have ever imagined.
Gideon Fletcher was played by Richard Fleeshman. Fleeshman had a wonderful voice throughout the show. He also presented great acting skills as he took us on a journey.
Frances McNamee played the role ofMeg Dawson. McNamee has got a beautiful tone of voice and good acting skills.
McNamee and Fleeshman worked well together and showed that there is lots of love between them (on stage of course). The sound of their voices put together in beautiful harmonies, especially in a song called "When we dance" was magnificent.

Jackie White was played by Joe McGann. I'm being very honest when I say that McGann is not the best at singing, however he can definitely act. McGann's acting skills were outstanding and very dramatic. I believed in everything McGann said and did as his interpretation of Jackie White was highly developed.
Ellen Dawson was played by Parisa Shahmir (Understudy). Shahmir gave a fabulous performance as Ellen. Ellen's speech at the end of the show was beautifully delivered by Shahmir and gave me Goosebumps.
Rest of the cast and the ensemble are a very talented bunch giving an amazing performance. I am still in love with their powerful vocals and very hard choreography. Everyone is showing their amazing acting, singing and dancing skills making the show stronger and stronger leading up to an out of this world finale.
