Taking you on a whistle stop tour from the heart of London’s theatre land to the glitz of Broadway, Mad About The Musicals is back once again at Bolton's Albert Halls, celebrating the very best songs from the shows we all know and love! With a host of your favourite numbers from the pen of Rodgers & Hammerstein, Kander & Ebb, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Boublil & Schonberg, the cast of Mad About evokes the true spirit of the stage, with brilliant vocals, dancing, costumes and West End musicians.
The small cast of 3 women and one man worked really well as they all took on many different characters within the different musicals. The show featured a really good range of Musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Chorus Line, Lion King, Company, Wicked and many more to please all audiences.
The opening number from the musical Lion King was a fantastic opening to a fantastic show and the closing number from Les Misérables was a phenomenal ending and left the audience very pleased.
The show included kids for a local youth theatre company perfectly in the closing number of Act 1; The Greatest Showman which gave a bit of variety on the stage and was fun and engaging.
I must mention the male singer; Michael who is definitely not just an outstanding singer, he also added a good element of comic relief through his presenting.
