Edinburgh sell - out show, "WOLF", A one man medley of action, comedy and characters COMES TO WATERSIDE
Following sell-out shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2018, Lewis Doherty’s explosive debut solo show will tour nationally this spring. Directed by John Hoggarth, and co-produced by The North Wall, "WOLF" is a hilarious hour-long adventure across the cyber-punk landscape of Shadow City - populated with murderous gang bosses, vigilantes and hapless rednecks.
Detective Jay Walker is dead, and with no leads and a case colder than…ice. Lewis Doherty plays his ex-partner Patrick ‘Nobody calls me Patrick’ Wolf, back in town with a vengeance and ready to bust some imaginary heads. Armed with nothing but his own body and a chair, Lewis brings to life thirty characters, car chases, and multi-man brawls in this genre-smashing send-up of Hollywood action movies.
Lewis Doherty trained at Oxford School of Drama. Since graduating he has starred in multiple theatrical productions, commercials, and television programs (most recently BBC3’s Hood Documentary).
John Hoggarth is Co‐Director of The North Wall Arts Centre in Oxford. As a director, he has a reputation for nurturing comedy talent, with past collaborations leading to a So You Think You’re Funny? award and BBC New Talent award. His most recent show, Monica Dolan’s The B*easts, was nominated in the 2018 Olivier Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre.
"WOLF" will be at Waterside on Thursday 28 February.
